Persen is a traditional herbal medicine of plant origin. It contains a combination of dry hydroethanolic extract of valerian root and dry extract of lemon balm and mint leaves. Valerian root and lemon balm leaf are traditionally known to have a calming effect, and lemon balm and mint leaves have a soothing effect on mild gastrointestinal complaints. One tablet contains- Valerian root extract (Valeriana officinalis L.) 35 mg Lemon balm leaf extract (Melissa officinalis L.) 17.5 mg Mint leaf extract (Mentha piperita L.) 17.5 mg Persen tablets are suitable for use as a first step in the treatment of mild difficulties when the use of stronger sedatives is not rational. Persen is recommended for calming moderate, transient nervous tension (as a daily sedative for mental overload, anxiety, irritability) and/or when it is temporarily difficult to fall asleep. Persen is only intended for adults and children over 12 years of age. Use of Persen with food and drink The use of Persen does not depend on food intake.
