ACTION
Analgin – Metamizole is a pyrazolone derivative from the group of non-narcotic analgesics. It has analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects. The effects of metamizole are realized through central and peripheral mechanisms. The central action is the result of suppressing the sensation of pain in the central nervous system and inhibiting cyclooxygenase in the brain. In the periphery, metamizole inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins that stimulate nociceptors and cause pain.
