Vaccinium vitis-idaea ) strengthens the natural antioxidant response of cells to IR radiation, reduces skin inflammation caused by UVB radiation and shows a direct antioxidant effect, as it contains a high percentage of powerful natural antioxidants - polyphenols. Topical application of the preparation based on mountain cranberry stem cell extract leads to the prevention and restoration of cell damage caused by the action of UVB and IR-A rays (such as dehydration, roughness of the skin, appearance of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation , loss of firmness, volume and elasticity). Ectoin in the preparation has a role to protect the skin from high temperatures, high concentrations of salts and strong UV radiation, because it has the potential to form a specific protective hydrofilm on the skin.
