Hepatrombin is recommended for use as an adjunct in superficial venous thrombosis, prevarication syndrome, thrombophlebitis, leg ulcer. It is a medicine that contains natural heparin gel. In addition to heparin, allantoin and dexpanthenol are added to this medicine. Heparin has an anticoagulant effect that prevents the development of blood clots. The absorption of heparin through the skin is very fast and is deposited in the granular layer of the epidermis, which manifests an exclusively local effect. Allantoin and dexpanthenol contribute to epithelization, granulation and tissue regeneration. The gel base favors the penetration of the active components through the skin. Hepathrombin is indicated as an adjunct in: superficial venous thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, phlebitis, prevarication syndrome, postphlebitic syndrome, leg ulcer; post-traumatic injuries (hematomas, contusions, dislocations); bursitis, tenosynovitis. Method of administration The ointment is applied to and around the affected area of the skin 2-3 times a day and lightly massaged. In the case of inflammation of the veins, the area is not massaged, but only the drug is applied in a thin layer to the affected area, and then covered with an occlusive or elastic dressing. Contraindications if you suffer from bleeding leg ulcers; if you are hypersensitive to allantoin, sodium heparin and dexanthenol - the active substances contained in hepatrombin cream - or to any of the other ingredients of the medicine.
