Himalayan black salt is a natural rock salt extracted by hand from the salt rocks in the foothills of the Himalayas. They were formed over millions of years from deposits of ocean salt pushed to the surface by the movement of the Earth's crust and hot magma. Himalayan salt contains over 95% sodium chloride and several important minerals for the human body in an easily digestible ionic form. These are potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and iron. The color of its crystals can vary from gray-white through black to slightly reddish. It has a slight sulfur smell.
Recommended use : In any dish where you usually add salt.
Storage : Store in a dry and cool place.
