Tetrahydrozoline Viset eye drops are intended to reduce the redness of the eyes and the breakdown of the mucous membrane of the eye. Eye redness is a common occurrence that can be caused by a variety of conditions, but is usually a symptom of other eye disorders, ranging from benign to serious. After topical application to the conjunctiva, the tetrahydrozoline eye drops in Wiset constrict the blood vessels in the eye within minutes, lasting 4-8 hours. Solutions of tetrizoline chloride, without preservatives, are intended to remove redness and breakdown of the mucous membrane of the eye, in case of irritations and redness that are not caused by infection, but are a consequence of: irritations as a result of e.g. smoke, dust, wind, chlorinated water, light, allergic eye reactions, e.g. seasonal allergy, pollen allergy. The product is an over-the-counter medicine and comes in the form of eye drops in a 10 ml bottle with a dropper pump. Shelf life is 28 days after first opening. Dosage Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age - Unless otherwise prescribed, administer one drop to each patient approximately 2 to 3 times daily. The use of the drug for longer than 72 hours is allowed only under medical supervision. Children between 2 and 12 years of age - The use of this medicine in children between 2 and 12 years of age is not recommended without first consulting a doctor.
