Anhydrous Mevlem forms a gentle semi-occlusive protective barrier on the skin that helps the natural transfer of water molecules and oxygen into and out of the skin, allows the skin to "breathe" and strengthens its natural barrier function. The mevlem is enriched with glycerin and panthenol. Glycerin is an effective humectant that attracts water and helps retain it in the skin. It works together with panthenol, which hydrates the skin and helps to accelerate its regeneration and renewal. Eucerin Aquaphor Protective Moisturizer for Damaged Skin is fragrance and preservative free and has been proven in clinical and dermatological studies to help restore very dry, chapped or irritated skin. The soothing, transparent mevlum is easy to apply and is rubbed gently into problem areas such as the skin on the knees and elbows, chapped skin on the palms, cuticles and cracked skin on the heels. It contains only a few ingredients that are well tolerated by sensitive skin. It is suitable for use in babies and children, as well as in light burns and after superficial dermatological procedures, such as laser treatments and chemical peels*.
