Panthenol ointment helps in regeneration and hydration of the skin. It increases the elasticity of the skin making it soft, smooth and shiny. It is recommended for epithelization of the skin in mild closed wounds, cuts and burns. Dexpanthenol, the active ingredient of PANTHENOL solution, is converted in the body into pantothenic acid. The active form of pantothenic acid in tissues is coenzyme A.
