Purpose: Chamomile flower (Chamomillae flos) has an anti-inflammatory, slightly spasmolytic and slightly soothing effect against cramps and stomach pains, and is also used for various poultices. Due to its pleasant aroma, it is also used as a refreshing drink. Action: The bearer of the healing properties of chamomile is its essential oil, and the main ingredient is azulene. Resins, bitter substances, tannins, gums and some other compounds found in the chamomile flower complement the effect of its essential oil due to which the flower has a complex effect. Azulene is a carbon source that does not exist as such in the herb but appears and is transferred through water vapor in the distillation processes. In various preparations of chamomile, which are found in the world, the azulene is lost very quickly. That's why strong tea is the best preparation made when needed. Chamomile tea relieves insomnia and nervousness, and the oil soothes pain in muscles and joints, while inhalation helps with inflamed ears and sinuses. Tea reduces nervousness, helps you fall asleep more easily, and if drunk sweetened with honey, it eases breathing and soothes bronchitis. It has a beneficial effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach, so lukewarm tea is recommended for inflammation of the stomach. Since it suppresses spasms, it also helps with flatulence, stomach and intestinal pains. Chamomile is a good diuretic. It facilitates and strengthens urination and the excretion of toxic substances from the body and is therefore recommended for those suffering from gout, rheumatism, kidney and bladder inflammation, and diabetes. Chamomile also stimulates sweating, improves the work of the liver and bile and normalizes the stool, so it is often used to purify the body. It soothes inflammation in the oral cavity and digestive system, and is also recommended for rinsing wounds that are difficult to heal. Chamomile tea is not boiled, but only poured with boiling water, because boiling it at a high temperature evaporates the essential oil, which is actually the main medicinal component of this herb. The "beauty" of the meadows, as they call her, will captivate you with her calming, elegant-floral fragrance, proven and well-recognizable taste. Pure, like morning dew, with a golden-yellow color, its magical effect is most powerful in the morning and in the evening, whenever you want the stress to fly away.
